My Experiences with Panchakarma Ayurvedic Treatments-I
Another reason for choosing Thiruvananthapuram was that I had close relations who were residing there and happened to know the Head of The Department of Panchakarma Ayurveda College, Poojapura, Thiruvananthapuram, Dr T K Sujan.
So me and my wife Bhagirathi, boarded the flight to Trivandrum on September 13, 2019. September 13th is also my date of birth as most of you know but this year 2019 was special in the sense that I was completing 75 years of living in this world. There was no better day to start this journey i thought to venture in to the unknown world of Panchakarma Treatment.
My wife was suffering from Osteo-arthritis combined with muscle spasms and I was recovering from Bells Palsy so we both decided to go for the relevant Rejuvenation packages.
A little background about Government Ayurveda College, Poojapura, Thiruvananthapuram.
In Thiruvananthapuram, Government Ayurveda Panchakarma Hospital is a recognized name in patient care.
They are one of the well-known Hospitals in Poojappura. Backed with a vision to offer the best in patient care and equipped with technologically advanced healthcare facilities, they are one of the upcoming names in the healthcare industry.
Located in Poojapura, this hospital is easily accessible by various means of transport. A team of well trained medical staff, non-medical staff and experienced clinical technicians work round the clock to offer various services that include
In Patient and out Patient treatment in Panchakarma . Their professional services make them one of the most sought after Hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram. A team of doctors on board, including specialists are equipped with the knowledge and expertise for handling various types of medical cases.
The hospital compound is huge with the Ayurveda college, Botanical garden of herbs, and a snake park to extract venom from snakes for some ayurveda treatments.
There is a separate building for local out patients and a newly opened Pay ward for out station patients who want to hire a room and stay there. I had taken an air conditioned double bedded room for me and my wife. The hospital is maintained immaculately clean, better than some of the local lodges. Dietary food is also served at a subsidised rate for the residing patients. Twenty four hour nurse and security are available. Doctors make rounds every morning assessing the progress of the patients and schedule the treatments. Separate rooms are available for male and female patients and adequate experienced therapists are on duty.
I think this is enough by way of introduction. We will have another sequel with the various treatments we had.
